Autograph on the buzzer with Starter for Ten at Bristol Old Vic

Autograph’s busy hire department has provided the sound package for Starter For Ten, the new feel-good comedy musical which returns tonight to the beautiful Bristol Old Vic.

Based on the original novel written by David Nicholls in 2003, the new musical has been created by Emma Hall and Charlie Parham (book and lyrics) and Hatty Carman and Tom Rasmussen (music and lyrics). Sound design is by Sound Quiet Time, and Charlie Parham directs.

This hugely enjoyable show, praised by WhatsOnStage for its “joy, comedy and 80s nostalgia”, was nominated for Best Musical Production at the UK Theatre Awards 2024 following its debut at Bristol Old Vic last year. It’s now back at this legendary venue for a one-month run, before moving to Birmingham Rep from 22 October to 1 November.
