Autograph provides sound for vocals and vampires, with Dracapella

Park Theatre, in Finsbury Park, North London, recently completed a sound installation upgrade, carried out by Autograph’s Sales & Installation team – and now Autograph is back providing sound design services (and hire support) for a brand-new production.

Now running at the theatre until 13 January is a fun-filled comedy combining extraordinary vocal talents with bloodsucking – called (what else?) Dracapella. Autograph’s Niamh Gaffney is the sound designer making use of Park Theatre’s newly-updated sound system, along with radio mics hired in for the occasion from Autograph’s hire team.

This family comedy ‘cape’r – which promises “more terrible puns than strictly necessary” – is billed as “a fast, funny, fang-filled festive treat”.

Produced by Park Theatre and Adam Blanshay Productions, Dracapella has immortal comedy pedigree, written by Dan Patterson (creator of Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Mock the Week) and with artistic direction from Jez Bond (the Whodunnit [Unrehearsed] series.

It stars Olivier Award winners Stephen Ashfield (The Book of Mormon) as Harker and Lorna Want (Beautiful) as Mina, alongside Keala Settle (The Greatest ShowmanWicked: The Movie) as Lucy and Ako Mitchell (Sister ActMean Girls) as Dracula.

It also features the talents of UK champion beatboxer ABH Beatbox, who provides the show’s unique vocal soundtrack . . .
