Tell Me MoreLuke Swaffield, one of Autograph’s hugely talented team of in-house sound designers, is responsible for the sound delivery of a brand new comedy musical which opened for its world debut last night at Birmingham Rep.
Sherlock Holmes and the Twelve Days of Christmas has original songs by the legendary partnership of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber – along with a full sound package supplied by Autograph’s busy hire department.
The festive show is written by comedy duo Humphrey Ker and David Reed (from The Penny Dreadfuls) – who also take the lead roles of Holmes and Watson in this comedic crime caper.

Rice and Lloyd Webber themselves have called the show “. . . pure mischief. It has the exuberance of a Christmas tree, the joy of a panto, and a plot worthy of Conan Doyle.”
Directed by Phillip Breen with Becky Hope-Palmer, this production promises to be a finely-crafted showcase of witty dialogue and stand-out musical numbers, all delivered to audiences’ ears by the expertise of Luke Swaffield and Autograph.
Sherlock Holmes and the Twelve Days of Christmas opened last night, 14 November, and runs through to 11 January 2026.
