Cambridge Junction – The Movie

In recent years we have been delivering advanced audio infrastructures to many different types of project, applying the sound design techniques that underpin our work as global leaders in sound for theatre. These have included experiential / immersive attractions, product launches, fashion shows, outdoor spectaculars, art installations and many more.

In the same period we have experienced real growth in our work in live performance venues. There are various reasons behind this but at least partly it stems from the fact that very few venues can now specialise in only one type of entertainment. This naturally places much greater demands on the installed audio facilities, as the same room may be called upon to host live rock ‘n roll, classical and world music, theatre, comedy, amateur nights, touring acts and even corporate work – often in the same week! Similarly, the ways in which performances and events are accessed by audiences has evolved radically in recent years, necessitating the implementation of venue-wide digital networks, streaming facilities and the ability to offer multi-track recordings.

Our work at Cambridge Junction is a perfect example of one such venue and how we design and implement a flexible audio system that comfortably handles anything and everything they do. The Junction is a very busy regional location which can now provide its audiences with a world-class audio experience across its three performances spaces and also offer every possible distribution and recording option to visiting artists, technicians and sound engineers.
