Tell Me MoreAutograph’s expert hire team has been busy providing the sound package for one of the theatre highlights of the season – the summer series at Regents Park Open Air Theatre – which begins tonight.
This unique setting will host five productions through the summer, with sound design from some of theatre’s leading practitioners, including Autograph’s own award-winning theatre sound maestro, Nick Lidster.
Under the guidance of Regents Park Open Air Theatre’s new Artistic Director, Drew McOnie, this run of productions offers something for everyone . . .
It kicks off tonight with Shucked, the Broadway musical comedy, directed by Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien, and with sound duties looked after by UK associate Greg Pink.
It continues on 19 June with The Dream Ballets a triple-bill showcase of dance based on Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Allegro, Oklahoma!, and Carousel. Sound design is by Nick Lidster for Autograph.
Next up, starting on 28 June is Noughts & Crosses, a stage adaptation of the young adult novel by Malorie Blackman, directed by Tinuke Craig, and with sound design from Max Pappenheim.
The season continues on 2 August with a revival of the classic Lerner & Loewe musical, Brigadoon, adapted by Rona Munro and with McOnie directing. Sound design is, once again, by Nick Lidster.
Rounding off the season from 15 August is an irresistably snappy one for the kids – a musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s much-loved story, The Enormous Crocodile, with sound design services provided by Tom Gibbons.
We’re delighted to be providing a full sound package to service eclectic series of productions in this unique setting.
