Autograph sound brings special powers to Matilda The Musical

Matilda The Musical is the second major musical tour to kick off in the past few days with sound provided by the busy hire team at Autograph. Following the opening of Miss Saigon on Saturday, Matilda begins its journey through the UK and Ireland at Leicester’s Curve Theatre tonight, and with sound design by Simon Baker.

This multi-award-winning production from the Royal Shakespeare Company, which follows the sellout success of its first tour in 2018-2019, is yet another magical family favourite based on a tale from legendary children’s author, Roald Dahl.

This production also marks the 15^th anniversary of the hit musical, which debuted at the Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon in 2010. Since then, the show, with book by Dennis Kelly and music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, has garnered over 100 awards internationally, including 24 for Best Musical, and has been enjoyed by over 12 million people worldwide.

The full touring sound and support package supplied by Autograph includes comms, radio mics, control, processing CCTV and IT.
