The stage production of Bram Stoker’s classic gothic horror novel, Dracula, which premiered in July 2024 at Sydney’s Roslyn Packer Theatre, opens in the West End tomorrow night, 7 February, at the Nöel Coward Theatre. The much-anticipated production has a full sound package provided by Autograph, for a sound design by Jessica Dunn.

The London incarnation of this remarkable one-woman show features the celebrated talent of Cynthia Erivo MBE – winner of Tony, Emmy and Grammy awards, a three times Oscar nominee and one of the biggest stars of the moment.

Produced by Sydney Theatre Company, the show is adapted for the stage and directed by Kip Williams. It follows the phenomenal success of their previous one-woman show, The Portrait of Dorian Grey, with all 26 characters played by Sarah Snook – a performance for which she won both Olivier and Tony Awards.

Like The Portrait of Dorian Grey before it, Dracula uses ‘cine-theatre’ techniques, with a rich concoction of both live and pre-recorded footage displayed on LED screens, creating a powerful, multi-faceted and complex storytelling medium. Here, Erivo plays ‘only’ 23 characters.

Autograph was responsible for the entire sound system, including cables and infrastructure, computers and IT, comms and cue lights, power management and processing.
