Jesus Christ Superstar tours the Far East with sound hire and design by Autograph

Autograph is responsible for providing the full sound package – and sound design – for one of the all-time great musicals, Jesus Christ Superstar, which has just set off on a tour of the Far East and New Zealand for the remainder of 2026.

Produced by Really Useful Group, this touring production of the classic musical – from the unmatched pairing of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice – is directed by Timothy Sheader (Crazy for You, Into the Woods) and has sound design by Autograph’s award-winning sound designer, Nick Lidster.

This production kicked off at the Solaire Theatre in Manila on Saturday night, and will run there until the end of May. After that it moves on to Taipei, Hong Kong and Singapore, before arriving in New Zealand’s Civic Theatre, Auckland, on 21 October 2026.

Autograph supplied not only the full sound package for the tour, but also the show relay system, comms (wired and wireless) and cue lights – as well as everything needed to make it run – including all the processing, cabling and infrastructure, power management and IT.
