Autograph’s Luke Swaffield takes Benjamin Button’s magic sound to NYC

Share

The major critical and commercial hit musical, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, opens tonight in New York City, once again with sound design by Autograph’s Luke Swaffield . . .

This off-Broadway run, at The Public Theater on Manhattan’s Lafayette Street, promises to repeat the success of the West End run two years ago at the Ambassadors Theatre, which itself followed an award-winning, sold-out run at Southwark Playhouse.

Based on a short story penned over a century ago by F. Scott Fitzgerald, this beautiful musical adaptation by Jethro Compton and Darren Clark tells the moving parable of a life lived in reverse – with the action transposed from Baltimore to a fishing village on the north coast of Cornwall.

This production, also directed by Jethro Compton, runs through until 6 December.
