Sadler’s Wells benefits from Paging & Relay upgrade by Autograph

The iconic Sadler’s Wells Theatre in Angel, Islington, is enjoying the benefit of freshly upgraded show relay and paging systems, recently installed by Autograph’s busy installation team.

The upgrade, which replaced the previous system hardware (installed by Autograph back in 2017!), is building-wide, covering both the Sadler’s Wells Main House and the adjacent Lilian Baylis Studio, as well as front-of-house areas.

The work continues Autograph’s long association with this world-renowned performing arts organisation, having provided sales and installation services, as well as full hire for productions, over many years. In 2025, Autograph undertook the full sound system installation for Sadler’s Wells East, one of London’s most prestigious new theatre venues, at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford.

Head of Sound at Sadler’s Wells, Paolo Melis, says, “When our paging system failed, Autograph stepped in immediately with a hire unit to keep us operational while designing a complete replacement. They worked closely with me throughout the process, not only reinstating our capabilities but significantly improving audio quality and system reliability.”
